Through the Alaskans for Litter Prevention and Recycling program, ASHRM adopted a beautiful section of the bike trail near Westchester Lagoon which runs from 15th and L Street to Hillcrest Drive. We’ve committed to clean up our bike path once a month between May and September.
ASHRM Partners with EAFB's Transition Assistance Program (TAP)
Each month, the DOL provides a 3-day Transition Assistance Program seminar at Elmendorf AFB. Over the three days, they discuss things like:

| • Taking a personal appraisal of yourself | • Internet & paper applications |
| • Financial management | • State & Federal Veterans Benefits |

The Employer Panel is conducted during the afternoon of the last day, Thursday, starting at 2:30. It's an open forum type session, where personnel in the seminar can ask various employment related questions. No recruiting is allowed during the seminar; however, the panel ends by 4:00 p.m. to allow panel members and seminar personnel to mingle one-on-one. The panel really goes over very well from both sides.
